Di tengah kesadaran meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat, Mahasiswa KKN Tematik Unand 2024 Nagari Sikucur Utara melaksanakan program inovatif yang melibatkan berbagai kelompok usia. Program ini tidak hanya fokus pada kesehatan gigi dan mulut, pencegahan cacingan, dan kebersihan, tetapi juga mencakup sosialisasi bahaya pergaulan bebas bagi remaja serta edukasi tentang penyakit lanjut usia dan stunting.
Di SD 29 dan SD 17 V Koto Kampung Dalam, mahasiswa KKN bekerja sama dengan Puskesmas Sikucur untuk memberikan edukasi kesehatan gigi dan mulut, praktek sikat gigi bersama, serta pemeriksaan gigi secara langsung. Mereka juga memberikan informasi tentang cegah cacingan melalui pola makan sehat, pentingnya mencuci tangan dengan sabun, dan cara mencegah penyakit kulit pada anak.
Mahasiswa KKN juga menyelenggarakan sesi khusus untuk remaja dengan mengadakan sosialisasi bahaya pergaulan bebas bagi remaja di SMP 3 V Koto Kampung Dalam. Pada sesi ini, mereka memberikan pemahaman tentang risiko dan dampak negatif dari pergaulan bebas serta memberikan strategi untuk mencegahnya. Diharapkan, melalui pendekatan holistik ini, remaja dapat memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan fisik dan mental, serta menghindari perilaku berisiko yang dapat merugikan.
Di samping itu, mahasiswa KKN juga melakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan langsung, yaitu cek tekanan darah, untuk masyarakat umum. Mereka memberikan edukasi tentang penyakit lanjut usia dan bahaya stunting, menjelaskan konsekuensi jangka panjang masalah gizi pada anak-anak, serta memberikan informasi tentang cara mencegahnya melalui pola makan sehat.
Mahasiswa KKN Unand mengambil langkah bersama untuk menerapkan Program Kesehatan Holistik di Nagari Sikucur Utara. Dengan tekad yang kuat untuk memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat. Kolaborasi antara lembaga pendidikan, kesehatan, dan masyarakat menunjukkan komitmen untuk memprioritaskan kesehatan anak-anak, remaja dan masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Diharapkan, upaya ini akan membangun lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang sehat bagi generasi mendatang.
