Padang, 13 Oktober 2024 – Sebuah kebakaran besar terjadi di Jalan Nipah, Kecamatan Padang Selatan, Kota Padang, pada Minggu sore. Kejadian yang berlangsung sejak pukul 14.44 WIB ini telah menghanguskan bagian atas sebuah rumah bertingkat tiga.
Menurut saksi mata, asap kecil pertama kali terlihat muncul dari bagian balkon rumah tersebut sekitar pukul 14.45 WIB. Namun, situasi dengan cepat memburuk ketika api semakin membesar pada pukul 15.00 WIB, menghabisi seluruh area atas rumah.
Tim pemadam kebakaran segera dikerahkan ke lokasi kejadian. Enam unit mobil pemadam kebakaran telah diterjunkan untuk memadamkan api, namun hingga berita ini diturunkan, api masih belum berhasil dipadamkan sepenuhnya.
Pemadam kebakaran telah mengerahkan enam unit damkar ke lokasi, tetapi api masih belum bisa dikendalikan sepenuhnya.
Kebakaran ini telah menimbulkan kepanikan di kalangan warga setempat. Asap tebal yang membumbung tinggi dari rumah yang terbakar dapat terlihat dari berbagai penjuru kota, menarik perhatian banyak orang.
Pihak berwenang masih menyelidiki penyebab kebakaran ini. Sementara itu, warga sekitar diimbau untuk tetap waspada dan menjauhi lokasi kebakaran demi keselamatan.
